Menulis bahasa Arab dengan jendela atau papan ketik non-Arab bisa menjadi pekerjaan yang membuat frustrasi. Namun dengan Arabic Pad, hal ini dapat dilakukan dengan mudah.

Arabic Pad is a simple editor like notepad, but designed to write Arabic [Unicode] text , especially for Non Windows Arabic. I hope that with this program write Arabic is more easily, by customizing the keyboard key so it’s close to the Arabic letter sound.

Menulis bahasa Arab dengan jendela atau keyboard non-Arab bisa menjadi pekerjaan yang membuat frustrasi. Namun dengan Arab Pad, hal ini dapat dilakukan dengan mudah. Arab Pad adalah editor sederhana seperti notepad, tetapi dirancang untuk menulis teks Arab [Unicode], terutama untuk bahasa Arab Non Windows. Saya berharap dengan adanya program ini menulis bahasa Arab menjadi lebih mudah, yaitu dengan mengkustomisasi tombol keyboard agar mendekati bunyi huruf Arab.

Mengatur Komputer Anda (Windows 2000/XP)

Sebelum Anda dapat menggunakan program ini, Anda harus mengatur pengaturan regional Anda dengan menambahkan Dukungan bahasa tambahan (bahasa kanan ke kiri). Jika setelah menjalankan program ini dan teks tidak berfungsi dengan benar, teks dibiarkan rata atau teks patah, maka Anda harus melakukan langkah berikut:

1. Open Control Panel / Buka Panel Kontrol

2. Pilih Opsi Daerah /Regional dan Bahasa Select Regional and Language Options

3. select Languages tab / pilih tab Bahasa

4. And check the options “Install files for complex script and right-to-left (Including Thai)” and click Apply.( Dan centang opsi “Instal file untuk skrip kompleks dan kanan-ke-kiri (Termasuk Thailand)” dan klik Terapkan. )

5. Insert the Windows CD Installer and locate the correct path requested. [ Masukkan CD Penginstal Windows dan temukan jalur yang benar yang diminta. ]

6. Follow the next step until the computer ask for restart, so restart.

7. [ Ikuti langkah selanjutnya hingga komputer meminta restart, jadi restart. ]

8. If the above step still doesn’t work, maybe you have to install Universal Font. For Microsoft Office user, you can add Universal Font from the Installation CD. Follow this step : Jika langkah diatas masih belum berhasil, mungkin Anda harus menginstall Universal Font. Bagi pengguna Microsoft Office, Anda dapat menambahkan Universal Font dari CD Instalasi. Ikuti langkah ini:

1. Open Control Panel [ Buka Panel Kontrol  ]
2. Select Add or Remove Programs [ Pilih Tambah atau Hapus Program ]
3.  Select Microsoft Office and click Change [ Pilih Microsoft Office dan klik Ubah ]
4. Pilih Tambah atau Hapus Fitur klik Berikutnya [ ]  Select Add of Remove Features click Next [  ]
5. In the next step, check the “Choose Advanced Customization of Applications” and click Next

6. From the tree view, Select: Office Shared Features > International Support > Universal Font 

   TEKS Dari tampilan struktur pohon, Pilih: Fitur Bersama Office > Dukungan Internasional > Font Universal (klik/pilih dan pilih Jalankan dari Komputer saya dari menu tarik-turun) )

7. (click/select and choose Run from my Computer from the drop down menu / ( TEKS Dari tampilan struktur pohon, Pilih: Fitur Bersama Office > Dukungan Internasional > Font Universal (klik/pilih dan pilih Jalankan dari Komputer saya dari menu tarik-turun)

For other text such as number ( 0 ..9 ), comma (,), dot (.), semicolon (;), Question mark(?), Percent sign(%), five pointed star (*), and underscore ( _ ) just equal with normal alphabet.
